Blue Steel boasts spiky clusters of deep blue flowers that bloom atop sturby silver-gray stems. This variety is well-suited to a range of climates but thrives in full sun and prefers well-drained soil. Great for perennial borders, pollinator gardens and rock gardens due to its ability to thrive in drier soil. Pruning in early spring can encourage bushier growth and better blooms. Blooming from mid-summer to fall, these vibrant blue flowers attract bees, butterflies and hummingbirds. Deer resistant. Drought tolerant.
