Lilafee is a deciduous, robust shade plant with a delicate appearance. This Barrenwort has oval, pointed leaves that emergy with a bronze-purple tint in the spring and become green for the summer. In early to mid-spring, it produces lavender-purple long-spurred flowers, born on wiry stems that hover above the foliage. It thrives in partial to full shade and well-drained but moist soil. Suitable for shade gardens, under tree canopies and along shaded borders. Dividing it every 3-4 years can rejuvenate its clumps. Attracts bees and butterflies. Deer and rabbit resistant.
